Legally Blonde The Musical is heading to New Theatre Oxford next month, with Amber Davies leading the cast as Elle Woods in the latest touring production of the hit stage version of the much-loved film.
The show runs in Oxford from Tuesday 26 May to Saturday 30 May 2026, with evening performances from Tuesday to Saturday and matinees on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. The Oxford run is one stop on a wider UK and Ireland tour, which continues through to early January 2027.
What is Legally Blonde about?
Based on the award-winning film starring Reese Witherspoon, the musical follows Elle Woods as she swaps California fashion culture for Harvard Law School in an effort to win back her ex-boyfriend. As the story unfolds, Elle has to prove she is more than the stereotype people expect, and in the process discovers talents and determination she did not know she had. ATG describes it as an “ultimate feel-good rom-com”, while the official production site bills it as the return of the “West End and Broadway smash-hit musical comedy”.
What is the show about?
Legally Blonde The Musical follows Elle Woods as she heads to Harvard Law School to prove she is more than “blonde ambition”. What starts as a bid to win back an old boyfriend becomes a story about confidence, identity and refusing to be underestimated.
