German Doner Kebab will open on Oxford’s Cowley Road on Thursday 5 November, offering £2 Doner Boxes to customers who download its app.
The restaurant at 134b Cowley Road, OX4 1JE, will serve the chain’s menu of kebabs, boxes and sides. The £2 promotion is available on opening day only, according to the company.
Its menu includes kebabs served in toasted sesame waffle bread with salad and sauces. GDK says its food is halal.

Customers will need to download the GDK app to take advantage of the Doner Box offer on 5 November 2026.
The company has not supplied an opening time or further details about which box options are included in the promotion.
Wayne Shurvinton, GDK chief executive, said in a statement: “We’re delighted to have opened our doors in Oxford. With its large student population, busy city centre and mix of residents and visitors, it’s a great location for GDK. We’re looking forward to welcoming customers into the new restaurant and giving them the chance to try our freshly prepared kebabs.”
