A new cafe is set to bring a Japanese delicacy to Oxford and readers can try tease their tastebuds with a half-price offer this weekend.
Fuwa Fuwa will officially open its doors at Golden Cross, Oxford, on Monday October 21st but this on Saturday and Sunday, October 19th to 20th, customers can test out the handcrafted Japanese souffle pancakes at 50% off the regular price.
Fuwa Fuwa, which translates to “fluffy” in Japanese, is a popular café chain specializing in light and airy Japanese soufflé pancakes. These pancakes are known for their jiggly, cloud-like texture, and have made quite an impression since they started up in 2017 from a pop-up kiosk in Westfield Stratford City. With branches in Westfield, Soho and Windsor, expanding to Oxford was a great move.
Made using a special secret recipe with the finest ingredients, the Fuwa Fuwa pancakes are always fresh, warm and super fluffy. As well as a souffle pancakes, the café will offer a variety of seasonal specials and premium beverages.
On Saturday, the first 50 customers will get free pancakes, and for the rest of the day, and all day on Sunday, visitors will get 50% off.
On Monday – the official opening – the first 50 customers will receive a Fuwa Fuwa goodie bag containing a tote bag, lucky cat poster, water bottle and fluffy pen.
Fuwa Fuwa were the first to bring the Japanese souffle pancake concept to the UK, starting life in 2017 from a pop-up kiosk in Westfield Stratford City to stores in Soho, Westfield Stratford, Windsor and now Oxford, with more coming soon.
