He approached the driver’s side of the car and verbally abused the 49-year-old victim with racial remarks while she drove through Lower Broadway at 12.10pm.
She got out of her car and followed the man up Broadway on foot towards WHSmith and Santander Bank. He walked off towards Hayden Road.
Investigating officer, PC Jonathan Morley from Didcot police station, said: “This was obviously a very upsetting and concerning incident for the victim who was racially abused.
“I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward, particularly if you saw an incident of harassment in the vicinity of lower Broadway, or saw a man similar to the one described in that area.”
He is described as white, in his 60s, with short grey hair and is around 6ft.
He was wearing black jogging bottoms, black shoes and a dark blue jacket.
The incident was the same day Prime Minister David Cameron condemned “despicable” xenophobic abuse since the results of the EU referendum on Friday.
