WOW, just WOW Lionel Richie at Nocturne Live – the show has gone down as one of my favourite performances ever at this event.
As soon as he stepped on to the stage, this smooth singing legend had the audience eating out of his hand.
We were on our feet as he performed hit after hit – Dancing on the Ceiling, Hello, all Night Long, Stuck on You, We are the World, Endless Love, Three Times a Lady, Easy, the list went on!
The stage graphics were fabulous (including flame bursts) – plenty of ??and there was even
His performance was slick, professional, engaging, uplifting and we were all there to listen to him, many hanging off his every word. I don’t think I had ever seen so many middle aged plus men getting into their groove, it really was a fabulous night!
It was also made that little extra special because the Thursday was also Lionel’s birthday – so we got to sing happy birthday to him – one lady evening giving him a lollipop (and he had a story to go with that).
Mention must also go to Gabrielle – who we also really enjoyed! She took us through her back catalogue with hit songs including Rise, Sunshine, Should I stay, Out of Reach and Dreams (one of my all time favourite songs).
Nocturne Live series of concerts returns next year from June 12 to 16, 2024. Get the date in your diary and watch our socials for updates.
