Silverstone Museum is halving children’s admission prices for October half-term, with tickets costing £7.50 when booked at least a day ahead for visits from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November 2026.

The Northamptonshire attraction will also run remote-control car racing, helmet-design activities, scrapbooking and Scalextric sessions during the school holiday. These activities are included with museum admission, subject to availability on the day.

How the half-price offer works

Children must visit with an adult holding a full-paying admission ticket or an adult annual-pass return ticket. The museum’s offer terms allow each accompanying adult aged 18 or over to bring up to five children, subject to safe supervision.

For a family buying two adult tickets and two tickets for children aged five to 15, admission would total £63 when booked at least a day in advance, before any optional experiences or refreshments.

The museum’s booking page lists the discounted prices and says its usual family-ticket packages are unavailable during half-term. The promotion cannot be combined with other offers and does not apply to tickets bought through third-party providers such as Virgin Experience Days or Buyagift.

Half-price children’s tickets can be upgraded to an annual pass at no extra charge, according to the museum’s half-term terms.

Racing and craft activities included with admission

Families can try remote-control cars on a new mezzanine track, race each other on a Scalextric version of the Silverstone National Circuit, or take a break for helmet design and scrapbooking. These activities cannot be reserved in advance.

The museum’s displays also include Nigel Mansell’s Red 5 Williams and a Lewis Hamilton championship car, alongside exhibits exploring the people and engineering behind British motor racing.

Phil Lawrie, chief executive of Silverstone Museum, said: “In a time where the costs of everyday living are constantly rising, we want to help families enjoy a great October half-term.”

Simulator and VR experiences cost extra

The Sim Suite and Black Cats & Chequered Flags experiences are separate paid bookings and are not included in the half-price admission offer.

The Sim Suite will host a fastest-lap competition on the Mexico City circuit, with prizes available. The museum is advertising 10% off weekend simulator bookings.

Black Cats & Chequered Flags explores the life and superstitions of Formula One driver Alberto Ascari through a mixed-reality experience for visitors aged eight and over. Its booking page lists prices from £15 for adults, £10 for children and £48 for a group of four. A valid museum admission ticket is also required.
