Abingdon Bonfire & Fireworks was advertised at Abingdon Airfield for Saturday 15 November 2025, with a fireworks and laser display, a bonfire and fairground attractions.
This archive records the advertised programme and ticket prices. It is not a review of the night or confirmation that the proposed traffic arrangements reduced queues.
The advertised 2025 date and programme
Abingdon Town Council’s event calendar lists 15 November 2025, from 3pm to 9pm. The 4.30pm gate-opening time previously given here did not match that listing and has been corrected. We have removed the previously stated individual show times because we could not verify them against the retained 2025 sources.
The advertised attractions included a 270-degree fireworks, light and laser show, more than 30 fairground rides, the Oklahoma Willy jet-engine van and a DJ appearance by Fake Boy Slim. A children’s K-pop Demon Hunters singalong was billed with a low-noise fireworks finale. “Low-noise” did not mean silent.

Historical ticket prices
The prices quoted in this preview are also recorded in Daily Info’s 2025 fireworks listings: £16 for an adult, £10 for a child, free admission for infants, £48 for a family ticket and £5 for parking.
At those rates, two adult and two child tickets totalled £52. The £48 family ticket therefore saved £4, not £5 as previously stated. These are historical advertised prices, not a current offer. The earlier breakdown of booking fees and full-price comparisons has been removed because we could not independently confirm it.
The proposed 2025 traffic plan
The event listing described investment in a one-way system, new gates and larger parking areas, with traffic control by Buko Traffic & Safety. These were organisers’ plans; they should not be read as evidence of actual journey times or a guarantee of easy access.
We have removed precise queue-duration claims and an unattributed spokesperson quotation that we could not substantiate from the retained sources.

Travel and parking for a future visit
Check the organiser’s instructions for the specific year before travelling. Old entrance routes, parking charges and timetables may no longer apply. Confirm accessible parking, surfaces, toilet facilities and any carer-ticket arrangements directly with the organiser if these affect your visit.
Planning a fireworks visit safely
Wear suitable clothing and footwear, follow steward instructions and stay behind safety barriers. Families can agree a meeting point before the display. Check the event’s current rules before bringing chairs, food or other items.
Fireworks and bonfire smoke can aggravate lung conditions. Asthma + Lung UK advises people affected to consider staying indoors with windows and doors closed. If attending, keep away from smoke, carry prescribed reliever medication and follow your personal management plan. A face covering should not be relied on to make smoke exposure safe: even filtered masks do not block all harmful particles.
