Banbury Gateway Shopping Park is on Acorn Way, near M40 junction 11, with shops, cafés and a surface car park.
Information checked: 16 October 2026. Use the B9 for the shopping park and check the opening time of the individual shop you need. The general park hours do not mean every shop is trading throughout that period.
Shops and retail highlights
The current park directory lists Card Factory, FatFace, GO Outdoors, M&S, Mountain Warehouse, Next, Primark, Skechers, Superdrug, The Works, TK Maxx and TUI. M&S also has an opticians.
Food stops include GAIL’s, Greggs, McDonald’s, M&S Café and Costa inside Next. M&S has a Foodhall.
Check the retailer’s own listing before making a journey for a particular product or service. A shop appearing in the directory is not a guarantee that an item is in stock.
Opening hours: check your shop
The park advertises core hours of 9am–8pm Monday–Thursday, 5am–11pm Friday–Saturday and 9am–5pm Sunday. Individual shops have different hours.
For example, M&S’s current store timetable lists 8am–8pm Monday–Saturday and 10.30am–4.30pm Sunday, with Sunday browsing from 10.15am. Holiday hours can differ. Check the date you plan to visit rather than assuming the park’s 11pm closing time applies to shopping.
How to get to Banbury Gateway Shopping Park
Address: Acorn Way, Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX16 3ER.
By bus
Stagecoach’s Banbury network information identifies the B9 as the route linking Banbury Gateway, the town centre and Hardwick. Use its journey planner or current timetable for your outward and return trips. Do not rely on the older B6 shuttle references still appearing in some visitor information.
By train
Arrive at Banbury station, then plan an onward bus or taxi journey. National Rail provides the station’s onward-travel information and live departures.
The London Marylebone connection is operated by Chiltern Railways; CrossCountry is not the operator for that route. Check engineering work and connections for your travel date.
Walking and cycling
The park describes a walking and cycling connection beside M&S to the Oxford Canal route, and bike racks beside Primark. Check a route map and conditions before setting off, particularly if travelling after dark.
Parking and electric charging
Parking is free for up to four hours. Read the signs on arrival and follow the stated conditions; exceeding the permitted stay may result in a parking charge.
AccessAble’s surveyed guide records 36 Blue Badge bays, parent-and-child bays and no height-restriction barrier. Spaces are first come, first served.
The park’s charging section places EV bays between Greggs and M&S and directs drivers to Pod Point for fees. Do not assume charging is free: check the app and charger instructions before connecting. Charging does not remove the parking time limit.
Toilets, access and other facilities
AccessAble records step-free access around the external area, with some pedestrian routes crossing the access road. Accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities are in selected shops, including M&S; there is no separate public toilet block in its guide. Their availability depends on the relevant store being open.
Use the detailed access guide for measurements and store-specific information. If a particular facility is essential to your visit, confirm it with the store beforehand.
Free Wi-Fi and click-and-collect at selected retailers are advertised by the park. Collection arrangements vary by shop.
Combining your visit with Banbury town centre
For canal-side food and leisure options, see our Castle Quay and Lock29 guide. Allow for the journey between the two shopping areas and check the opening or booking arrangements for any additional stop.
Correction and update, 16 October 2026: this guide previously identified the bus as the B6 and included an outdated shop list and infographic. We have corrected the bus route, refreshed the directory, clarified store hours and removed unsupported claims about bus facilities and renewable electricity.
