Significance of Chinese New Year and the Year of the Snake
Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. It marks the beginning of the lunar new year and is a time for families to come together, honour traditions, and celebrate with food, fireworks, and cultural performances. Each year is represented by one of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac, with each animal symbolising unique traits and characteristics.
The Year of the Snake is particularly significant as the snake is seen as a symbol of wisdom, intuition, and transformation. People born in the Year of the Snake are believed to be intelligent, resourceful, and determined. In Chinese culture, the snake also represents patience and the ability to adapt, making this year a time to embrace change, growth, and new opportunities.
