Residents across Oxfordshire are being encouraged to lace up their trainers this September for a cause that touches countless lives. Maggie’s Oxford, the charity providing free cancer support and information, is inviting people of all ages to take part in its special Walk or Run with Maggie’s event on Sunday 21 September 2025 at 10am, starting from Britwell Salome near Watlington.
The inclusive event offers participants the choice of a 5km or 10km route through the stunning Chiltern Hills, with options to walk at a gentle pace or run for a more energetic challenge. Dogs are welcome to join their owners along the way, making it a family-friendly day out.
Supporting people with cancer
Maggie’s centres provide practical advice, emotional support, and a welcoming space for anyone affected by cancer – from patients to family members and friends. Every step taken on the Britwell Salome routes will help raise vital funds for the Oxford centre, enabling it to continue offering expert support free of charge.
