Groups of friends and families can now enjoy discounted travel across Oxfordshire this summer, thanks to a limited-time group ticket offer launched by Oxford Bus Company.
The ‘Bus Together’ initiative has slashed the cost of a Group Day Ticket for up to five people to just £15, offering a £6 saving on the usual price. The offer is available on all CityZone and CountyZone routes, including the scenic X40 service linking Oxford to Reading, and runs through to Sunday, August 31.
The promotion is part of the company’s drive to make summer adventures more affordable, while encouraging sustainable travel across the county.
Luke Marion, Managing Director of Oxford Bus Company, said:
“We’re so fortunate to live in a county that offers limitless discoveries of rolling hills and countryside, plus the history and heritage of Oxford city centre,”
“We want everyone to experience the best Oxfordshire has to offer while the weather is onside and children are enjoying the summer holidays.
The discounted ticket can be used across a wide range of destinations, from Chipping Norton to High Wycombe, and Wantage to Swindon, as well as charming villages along the way. The offer is particularly well-suited for day-trippers taking the X40 route, which offers a picturesque journey through Nuneham Courtney, Dorchester, Benson, Wallingford and Woodcote on the way to Reading.
To access the discount, passengers can enter the promo code SUMMERHOLS15 when buying group day tickets via the Oxford Bus app. The offer is limited to one discounted ticket per user.
Marion added:
“Bus travel is not only cost-effective for families and larger groups but reduces our impact on the environment by cutting down on unnecessary journeys. We hope this offer incentivises more people to get out and explore the county this summer.”
