Homeless Oxfordshire is delighted to announce the success of its 2025 Charity Golf Day, which raised an impressive £17,365 to support people experiencing homelessness across the county.
Held at Studley Wood Golf Club, the event saw 23 teams from Oxfordshire businesses enjoy a day of golf, games and giving. Participants were treated to brunch, 18 holes of golf, three on-course competitions, an auction, and a raffle, all in aid of the county’s largest provider of accommodation and specialist support for people affected by homelessness.

A Community United for a Common Cause
“We are constantly blown away by the support we receive from local businesses, and our 2025 Golf Day is no exception,” said Liza Clothier, Head of Fundraising & Communications at Homeless Oxfordshire. “The incredible amount raised will provide some of the most at-risk people in our communities with the support they need to regain independence.”
The charity extended sincere thanks to all participants and the 18 generous sponsors, especially headline sponsor Mark Barclay Wealth Management, whose continued backing was instrumental to the day’s success.
Mark Barclay of Mark Barclay Wealth Management said:
“It’s always nice to contribute to charities working in the local community. As a business thriving from clients in the Oxfordshire area, it feels right to donate and sponsor and support a charity aiming to help those less fortunate and aid some support towards helping people at their lowest.”
The Urgency Behind the Numbers
Recent government figures show a 27% increase in households assessed as homeless across Oxfordshire. The funds raised will be directed towards Homeless Oxfordshire’s vital services, offering safety, stability and support to those who need it most—many of whom have experienced trauma, disadvantage or social exclusion.

Supporting Women Through the Her Way Home Appeal
Homeless Oxfordshire is also encouraging donations to its Her Way Home appeal, a campaign designed to offer safe, women-only housing and support to women whose homelessness is often linked to domestic violence or sexual exploitation.
