Oxford United are excited to announce the launch of PlanetOx, a celebration of Oxfordshire music, seeing Oxford United become the first football club to create its own independent music festival for charity.
On 23rd May 2024, 4 artists will come together for one night only, at The Bullingdon. Put the stresses of football to one side and escape to PlanetOx, home to indie, rap, and more.
The festival will raise vital funds for Youth Music and, Official Charity of Oxford United, Oxford United in the Community. Youth Music and Oxford United in the Community share the belief that every young person should have the chance to change their life. Ticket sales from PlanetOx will go toward supporting both charities work.
The Mezz, Leonidas and The Mucks are already confirmed to play, and the Mezz said:
“We’re really looking forward to PlanetOx and working with Oxford United once again. It’s going to be a fun night and great way to raise money for both Youth Music and Oxford United in the Community.”
One space still remains though, and that slot could be filled by YOU! There are offering another up-and-coming artist the chance to feature in the line-up of PlanetOx 2024. Any Oxfordshire-based music artist with what it takes can sign up to be in with a chance of performing.

Sam Heason, Supporter Marketing Manager at Oxford United, added:
“Music is an integral part of football. We all have songs that take us back to a specific footballing moment, whether that’s chants from the terraces or the soundtrack to your favourite game.
We want to play a part in creating those memories and what better way to do that than to celebrate Oxfordshire music at an iconic Oxford venue whilst raising money for some amazing charities.”
