Phil Wang in promotional artwork for the 2027 tour

Phil Wang will return to New Theatre Oxford with UH OH on Thursday 22 April 2027, adding a spring opportunity to see his latest stand-up show.

The same tour also visits Oxford on 6 November 2026. The two dates are separate performances of UH OH, so readers choosing tickets should check which visit they are booking.

What to expect from UH OH

The show takes ageing and changing attitudes as its starting point. Wang casts himself as a millennial trying to keep up with a world whose ideas of what is fashionable, sensible or acceptable seem to be shifting.

His publicity approaches those themes through an exaggerated version of himself: older, newly moustached and increasingly convinced that everyone else is the problem. It is the basis for a stand-up show rather than a lecture on generational differences.

Television viewers may recognise Wang from Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You?, while film audiences may have spotted his appearance in Wonka.

The Oxford venue lists a running time of one hour and 50 minutes, including an interval. The April date falls between Lincoln and Doncaster on the 2027 extension.
