Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Ray LaMontagne is heading back to UK stages for the first time in over eight years, and Oxford is on the tour map.
As part of a limited-run 2026 UK tour, LaMontagne will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut album Trouble, performing it in full at the New Theatre Oxford on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
A Landmark Album, Revisited
Originally released in 2004, Trouble introduced LaMontagne’s husky vocals and poetic song writing to the world. The album’s soulful title track became a radio favourite and was later featured in films and TV dramas, catapulting the Maine-born musician to global recognition.
This marks the first time LaMontagne has ever performed the album in its entirety, a must-see experience for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
🗣️ “If You Never Look Back, You’ll Never See How Far You’ve Come”
In announcing the tour, LaMontagne reflected on the passage of time since the album’s release:
Twenty years. Two decades. That’s a lot of water under the bridge. Every cell in my body has changed three times over in that time. I have been three times reborn. There are moments in life when you need to place a marker. Some say it’s brave never to look back—but I disagree. If you never look back, you’ll never see how far you’ve come. This year, I place a signpost: twenty years of Trouble.”
