Tom Allen will bring his new stand-up show Totally to Oxford’s New Theatre on Saturday 27 May 2028, with tickets going on sale well ahead of the performance.
The comedian, whose television credits include Cooking with the Stars and The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, will take to the George Street stage at 7.30pm. The tour announcement sets general sale for 11am on Friday 2 October 2026.
Totally follows his previous show, Completely, and turns everyday frustrations, domestic mishaps and the feeling of not quite fitting in into his latest stand-up material.
The Oxford performance is part of a UK and Ireland tour beginning in Southend in October 2027 and continuing until September 2028. Other stops include High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Reading.

What is Tom Allen’s Totally about?
The starting point is a familiar piece of advice: live in the moment. For Allen, the difficulty is finding that moment between fellow bus passengers playing music without earphones, influencers setting impossible standards for his home and a kitchen that has flooded.
A bewildering conversation with a plumber adds to the domestic difficulties. Beneath those everyday irritations is a broader question about whether everyone else has worked out how to enjoy life while he has been getting it slightly wrong.
The announcement places personal stories and observations at the centre of the new show, with the gap between how life is supposed to look and how it actually unfolds providing the material.
The tour follows Completely, which Allen’s management describes as a sell-out success. Totally is a new show, rather than an extension of that earlier tour.
From television and podcasts to the West End
Allen co-hosts ITV’s Cooking with the Stars alongside Emma Willis. His other television work includes The Apprentice: You’re Fired, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice, Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You? and QI.
Podcast listeners may know him from Like Minded Friends, which he presents with fellow comedian Suzi Ruffell. He also hosts Pottering, inviting guests into his garden for conversation and gardening.
His writing includes the memoirs No Shame and Too Much, followed by his debut novel, Common Decency, published in May 2026. He also made his West End debut in the musical Titanique in 2026.
The new tour brings him back to stand-up, with performances spread across theatres and concert halls over almost a year.
Oxford tickets, age guidance and performance details
The Oxford show starts at 7.30pm. ATG’s current listing gives a running time of 90 minutes, including an interval, although audiences should check for updates nearer the performance.
The event is strictly for ages 14 and over, with the ticketing information warning of likely swearing and adult content. ATG specifies that under-16s must sit next to an accompanying adult aged 18 or over and remain supervised.
Alongside the venue’s booking page, Ticketmaster’s Oxford listing gives the performance details and announced general-sale time. Check the price of the selected seats and any charges before completing a purchase.
A support act has not been named in the tour announcement.
Getting to the New Theatre Oxford
The New Theatre is on George Street in Oxford city centre. The venue estimates a walk of around ten minutes from Oxford railway station.
Parking in central Oxford is limited. Visitors driving into the city should check current parking and Park & Ride arrangements closer to the performance, rather than relying on today’s road information for a visit in May 2028.
The theatre advises allowing extra time for possible bag checks and avoiding large bags, rucksacks and suitcases. Its Box Office normally opens 90 minutes before a performance, but that should not be taken as confirmation of when the auditorium doors will open.
Further information is available in the New Theatre visitor guide.
Accessibility and companion tickets
There is level access to the main foyer and Box Office from George Street. A wheelchair-accessible lift serves the Stalls, where four wheelchair positions are available at the rear, with space for a companion alongside.
Accessible toilets are provided in the main foyer and Stalls. The theatre uses a Mobile Connect hearing-support system.
ATG’s access information states that the venue is not accessible for mobility scooter users, so discuss suitable arrangements before booking. Its free Access Membership Scheme allows eligible customers to book accessible seating and essential companion tickets online.
For assistance, call 0333 009 5399 or consult the New Theatre accessibility page.
