Oxford Dine ‘N’ Devour will return to the city centre from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August, bringing a mix of street food, drinks, crafts and independent traders to Broad Street.
The free event will run from 10am to 7pm on Friday and Saturday, before closing at 5pm on Sunday.
Visitors will be able to drop in for lunch, stay for the entertainment or browse the artisan stalls while exploring one of Oxford’s best-known central streets.
The summer edition follows previous Dine ‘N’ Devour events in the city and forms part of a touring programme organised by family-run events company LSD Promotions.
Street food from around the world
Organisers say the food offer will span a range of international cuisines, from Greek gyros and Korean corn dogs to Mexican dishes, dumplings, curries, gourmet burgers and loaded fries.
Fresh juices, desserts and handmade sweet treats are also expected, alongside cocktails and other drinks.
A final trader list has not been published with the announcement, so the exact dishes and businesses attending may vary. Visitors looking for a particular cuisine should check the organiser’s social media updates closer to the event.
The festival format allows people to buy smaller dishes from different traders rather than committing to one sit-down meal, making it possible to try several flavours across a visit.
| Food and drink | Examples announced by the organiser |
|---|---|
| Street food | Greek gyros, Korean corn dogs, Mexican dishes, dumplings and curries |
| Comfort food | Gourmet burgers and loaded fries |
| Sweet options | Desserts and handmade treats |
| Drinks | Fresh juices, cocktails and other refreshments |
Anyone with a food allergy or intolerance should speak directly to the individual trader before ordering. Recipes, preparation spaces and cross-contamination controls may differ between stalls.
Artisan stalls and live entertainment
Dine ‘N’ Devour is not limited to food.
The Broad Street market will include independent traders selling products such as jewellery, artwork, handmade gifts, homeware, flowers, crystals, crafts and beauty items.
That gives visitors the option of browsing small businesses between meals, while traders gain access to a busy city-centre audience of residents, tourists, students and day visitors.
Entertainment announced for the weekend includes a live DJ and stilt performers.
Connie Brettell, Marketing Assistant at LSD Promotions, said: “We absolutely love bringing Dine ‘N’ Devour back to Oxford, and we know how much visitors enjoy the event every time we return.
“Broad Street is the perfect location for a weekend celebration of incredible food, independent traders and a fantastic atmosphere.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy everything the event has to offer.”

A free summer event for families and visitors
Entry to Dine ‘N’ Devour is free, although food, drinks and products are purchased separately from individual traders.
The event is open throughout the day, so families can visit for a short browse or make it part of a longer trip into Oxford.
Its Broad Street location places it close to the Bodleian Libraries, Weston Library, Sheldonian Theatre, History of Science Museum, Cornmarket Street and the Covered Market.
As the market is outdoors, visitors should check the weather forecast and bring suitable clothing. Payment methods may vary between traders, so it may be helpful to carry more than one way to pay.
Before you go
| Check the latest traders | Food and artisan line-ups may be announced or updated close to the event. |
| Ask about allergens | Speak directly to the trader about ingredients and cross-contamination before ordering. |
| Prepare for the weather | The event is outdoors, so bring sun protection or waterproof clothing as appropriate. |
| Plan payment | Individual stalls may have different cash and card arrangements. |
| Travel by bus or Park & Ride | Broad Street has no event parking, and several summer public transport offers are available. |
How to get to Broad Street
Broad Street is in the centre of Oxford and does not have on-site event parking.
Oxford City Council’s outdoor venue guide places it around a 10 to 15-minute walk from Oxford railway station. Nearby city-centre bus stops include George Street and Magdalen Street West.
Visitors arriving by car are advised to consider one of Oxford’s five Park & Ride sites rather than driving into the centre.
The event weekend falls within Oxfordshire County Council’s temporary free Park & Ride bus offer. Until and including Sunday 16 August, visitors who pay for parking can show their ticket or RingGo parking session to the driver and claim free return bus travel for up to two adults and three children aged under 16.
More information is available through Oxfordshire County Council’s Park & Ride offer page.
Children can also travel free on local buses
Families travelling without a car may also benefit from the Government’s Great British Summer Savings bus offer.
Children aged five to 15 can travel free on participating local bus services in England throughout August. Many Oxford Bus Company and Thames Travel local services are included, although exclusions apply to some airport, sightseeing, school and specialist routes.
No advance application is required on participating Oxford Bus Company and Thames Travel services. Eligible children can ask the driver for a free ticket when boarding, although proof of age may be requested.
Families should check the route before travelling through the Oxford Bus Company and Thames Travel Kids Go Free page.
Oxford Food & Drink Festival to follow in October
People unable to attend the August event will have another opportunity later in the year.
LSD Promotions says the Oxford Food & Drink Festival will return to Broad Street from Friday 9 to Sunday 18 October.
The longer autumn event is expected to bring ten days of street food, artisan shopping and entertainment to the city centre.
Dates and programme details should be checked through LSD Promotions’ Oxford events page before travelling.
