A much-loved spring tradition returns this May as Pasture Farm in Upper Oddington opens its gates once again in aid of the National Garden Scheme (NGS).

The stunning Open Garden & Plant Sale in support of Kate’s Home Nursing. Taking place on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May 2025 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, the event promises a joyful day out while raising vital funds for hospice care at home.

Entry is £7 per person, with all proceeds from plant sales and refreshments being generously donated to the local charity, which provides free palliative care to patients in their own homes across the north Cotswolds. Last year’s event raised an impressive £19,000 for the charity, and it would be amazing to beat that tally this year.

A Garden Worth the Trip

The garden at Pasture Farm is a visual treat for green-fingered visitors and casual strollers alike. From gravel gardens and rambling roses in “the ruins” to immaculate topiary, orchards, and sweeping mixed borders, every inch has been thoughtfully curated by owner Jane Lloyd.

But for many, the highlight of the weekend is the renowned plant sale. Packed with strong, healthy annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, and more, it draws gardening enthusiasts from across Oxfordshire and beyond.

“I’m incredibly proud to support Kate’s Home Nursing. The work they do is vital for so many local families, and it means a great deal to contribute in this way. The garden opening has become such a joyful community event, and I’m always touched by the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone who comes along.”

Teas, Treats & Tranquillity

Alongside the plant sale, visitors can enjoy delicious homemade teas and refreshments, making it a perfect afternoon for families, friends, and anyone seeking a leisurely outing with a meaningful purpose. The Kings Head in Bledington is also a great local lunch venue.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply looking for a peaceful day in nature, the Open Garden weekend at Pasture Farm is a calendar highlight not to be missed.
