PUPILS have been using their artistic talents to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The chairman of Oxfordshire County Council Michael Waine arranged for each Bicester school to produce canvasses depicting each decade of the Queen’s life in celebration of her birthday.
The canvasses will now go on display at County Hall.
Pupils from the schools were at County Hall last Thursday to watch the pop-up gallery opened by the Lord Lieutenant, Tim Stevenson, the Queen’s representative in Oxfordshire.
Bicester councillor Mr Waine said: “Having already seen some of the artwork, I can confirm that it is of a very high standard and I am sure councillors, council employees and members of the public will enjoy it a great deal.”
From the beginning of July, the artwork will be moved to Bicester’s new library in time for its official opening.
