Following on from the successful post last year, Wantage and Grove Scouts are back with their local Christmas card delivery service in December.
Postage is only 40p per card and payment along with the cards should be posted directly into the one of the Scout post boxes located in:
- Charlton Post Office (Barnards Way)
- Campbells Opticians
- Charlton Garden Centre
- Sainsbury’s, Waitrose
- Wantage Health Centre
- Smiths DIY Grove
- Co-op Grove
They are most grateful for the continuing support of these local companies who allow them to site our post boxes on their premises.
The cards are delivered by hand by young members of the local Scout groups.
This year, they will be delivering to Challow, Hanney and all other surrounding villages along with Wantage and Grove. Boxes will be in place from 10am Saturday 2nd December to 5pm and Saturday 16th December.

Last year in 2022 it was a great success, with the Scout Christmas card post service covering Wantage, Grove and Challow, where volunteers helped to collect, sort and deliver around 6,500 Christmas cards!
This helped to raise over £1900 which will help to enhance activities for Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer sections.
